MEGA QPAK FILTER

The Mega QPak Filter is a deep pleated rigid filter for HVAC and AHU applications, designed for medium to fine particle filtration. Using micro glass fibre media with aluminium separators, it offers efficiency from ePM10 60% to ePM1 80% (MERV 10–15). Built with durable frames, it delivers reliable performance with high humidity tolerance and operation up to 80°C.

Advantages

The Mega QPak Filter combines the structural rigidity of a deep pleated rigid cell construction with the filtration performance of ultrafine micro glass fibre media to deliver a long-service HVAC filtration solution across the medium-to-fine efficiency range. The corrugated aluminium separator construction is central to its performance advantage — by maintaining precise, consistent pleat spacing across the full 6″ or 12″ media depth, it prevents pleat-to-pleat contact that would reduce effective filtration area, ensures uniform face velocity distribution across the entire media surface, and allows the maximum available media area to contribute to particle capture and dust holding capacity. This directly supports the low recommended final pressure drop of 1.2″ Wg and the extended service life that characterise the rigid cell format in HVAC AHU applications. Two-component polyurethane media frame bonding provides a hermetic, mechanically durable seal between the media pack and frame, ensuring that rated efficiency is maintained throughout the filter’s service life without bypass leakage at the media-to-frame interface — a common failure point in adhesive-bonded filter constructions. The optional continuous polyurethane or neoprene flat gasket on one or both sides of the frame extends this sealing integrity to the filter-to-housing interface, preventing peripheral bypass in both new-build and retrofit AHU installations. Frame material options across G.I., stainless steel, aluminium, and MDF, combined with optional 20 or 25 mm single or double-sided headers, ensure compatibility with the full range of standard side and front access AHU housing configurations. UL 900 classified media, 100% relative humidity tolerance, and a clearly defined maximum pressure drop of 1.8″ Wg complete a rigid cell filter specification suited to demanding long-life HVAC medium-to-fine filtration duty.
