CARBOVPAK FILTER

The CarboVPak Filter is a rigid V-cell carbon filter that combines odour control and particle filtration in one unit. Using carbon-embedded synthetic media, it delivers efficiency from ePM10 60% to ePM1 80% (MERV 10–15). Built in a durable ABS frame, it effectively removes VOCs and harmful gases with reliable performance under controlled conditions.

Advantages

The Carbo MD Filter is engineered as a practical, modular gas-phase filtration solution for kitchen exhaust and HVAC molecular contaminant removal applications where a cassette format simplifies installation, change-out, and system integration. The loose-fill granular construction within the cassette tray maximises contact surface area between the airstream and the adsorptive media, enabling efficient gas-phase contaminant capture through both adsorption and chemisorption across the 1″ or 3″ media depth. The availability of activated carbon, chemically impregnated carbon, activated alumina, and blended media options means the Carbo MD can be configured with the media best suited to the specific target gas — whether VOCs, SO₂, NO₂, NOₓ, amines, or aldehydes — without requiring a different filter product for each application. Perforated metal or plastic mesh support on both sides of the media tray retains the granular fill securely under all operating airflow conditions, preventing media migration and maintaining consistent bed depth and residence time throughout the service life. The optional plastic removable cap supports media containment and safe handling during cassette removal and disposal, while the optional neoprene gasket on one or both sides of the cassette frame seals the filter against the housing to prevent bypass of unfiltered air around the media bed. Frame material options across high impact polystyrene, powder coated G.I., mild steel, and stainless steel allow the cassette to be specified for the structural, corrosion resistance, and weight requirements of each installation. Cassette depths of 12″, 18″, and optionally 24″ provide flexibility to accommodate the available installation space while offering the correct media volume and residence time for the contaminant concentration and airflow volume of the application.
