KITCHEN ECOLOGY UNIT

The Kitchen Ecology Unit is a multi-stage, ducted filtration system for commercial kitchens, combining grease removal, smoke control, and odour treatment in one unit. Available in modular or single configurations, it can include ESP and carbon filtration with manual or auto-cleaning options. Designed for flexible installation, it delivers efficient and reliable exhaust air treatment.

Advantages

The Kitchen Ecology Unit is the only pollution control solution in the range explicitly developed for the operational and regulatory challenges of commercial kitchens in dense urban locations, where grease, smoke, and odour emissions must meet residential air quality standards before being discharged into the surrounding environment. Its multiple stage filtration architecture — combining ESP grease and smoke capture with carbon or chemical odour removal in a single ducted housing with integrated fan and control panel — provides a complete, self-contained kitchen exhaust treatment solution that eliminates the need to source and integrate separate filtration, fan, and controls components. The double skin casing option provides thermal and acoustic attenuation of the exhaust airstream and the fan unit, reducing noise transmission to adjacent occupied spaces — a critical performance requirement for kitchens operating within residential or mixed-use urban buildings. The tailor-made configuration capability means the unit can be precisely matched to the contamination profile, airflow volume, and odour intensity of each specific commercial kitchen — from a small restaurant to a large airport lounge kitchen — with the correct number of ESP passes, carbon filter stages, and wash system specification selected for the application. Modular construction enables large units to be transported and installed through standard access routes at constrained rooftop and mechanical room sites, with units bolted together and sealed at site to form an integrated assembly. Sidewall discharge capability removes the requirement for vertical exhaust riser ductwork in locations where roof penetration is not feasible. Vibration-isolated fan, dual access doors, hinged or removable hatches, and transition ductwork options complete a system designed to be installed, operated, and maintained in the full range of commercial kitchen exhaust environments encountered in dense urban locations.
