MEGA ZPAK FILTER

The Mega ZPak Filter is a compact minipleat panel filter for HVAC systems, ideal for variable air volume and turbulent flow applications. Using micro glass fibre media, it offers efficiency from ePM10 60% to ePM1 80% (MERV 10–15). Advantages

The Mega ZPak Filter is specifically designed for the conditions that challenge conventional panel filters most — variable air volume systems and turbulent flow HVAC applications where fluctuating face velocities can distort flexible media, reduce efficiency, or cause premature pressure drop increase. Its compact box type construction provides the structural rigidity required to maintain consistent minipleat geometry and filtration performance across the full operating airflow range, regardless of system VAV cycling. The minipleat micro glass fibre media configuration maximises effective filtration surface area within the compact 1″, 2″, or 4″ panel depth, directly contributing to a low recommended final pressure drop of 1.2″ Wg and an extended service life relative to conventional pleated panel filters of the same footprint. Thermoplastic hotmelt bead separators maintain precise and uniform pleat spacing across the full face of the filter, preventing pleat-to-pleat contact that would reduce effective media area and increase resistance. Three frame material options — metal, ABS plastic, and wet strength beverage board — allow the filter to be specified for the structural and environmental demands of each installation, from robust industrial AHU duty to lightweight or cost-sensitive commercial applications. The optional foamed continuous polyurethane or EPDM flat gasket provides a perimeter seal against the housing frame to prevent peripheral bypass, which is particularly important at finer efficiency grades where any unfiltered leakage path degrades overall system filtration performance. Five efficiency grades spanning M5/MERV 10 through F9/MERV 15 across both ePM10 and ePM1 classifications, combined with tolerance for 100% relative humidity and a 70°C continuous operating temperature, complete a compact panel filter specification suited to the broad range of medium-to-fine HVAC filtration applications.
